Sowing Seeds... part 1

Now you and I know how important it is to sow seeds if you want to receive a multitudes of crops. That’s the same thing in business, you can say that when you spent time to advertise your business. The money that you’ll be using for advertising is actually seed money for your business to grow.

Now ultimately in the kingdom of God, that’s what you need to do, if not you’ll fail… but wait a minute “How can I fail when God is with me?” Well ultimately you need to also understand that God has already given you the land, but you need to go and possess it, like in Joshua 1:11. So you need to make some preparation before you go and possess the land.

11 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess."

You see, in the supernatural, the Lord your God has already planned good things for you, or you can say he has already planned your victory and your increase, all you have to do is possess it and plant that seed. God has done his part, now it’s your turn to do your part.

Now because God is so powerful (omnipotent) and all knowing and full of wisdom, he does everything quickly. What would normally take man years to accomplish, I bet God can do it in 1 minute. That’s why I believe it takes man sometimes years to do their part in getting increase out of the seeds that they have planted. So don’t complain if you’re not seeing any results right away, in a matter of fact don’t even complain if you don’t see any results in 6 months…

I’m not hear to discourage you, I’m only hear to tell you the truth. Sometimes people don’t get any results in their sowing seeds whether it’s a crop seed, money to invest in their business or just relationship with their families, is because of either a lack of obedience, lack of knowledge, or they’re just not ready or mature enough to receive the results or increase.

So why is the lack of obedience a factor that determines why you’re not getting any results? Well first of all lets look at Deuteronomy 28:1

1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God"

Therefore you need to obey and walk in obedience in order for you to see any positive results or if you want God to set you high above all nations and give you tremendous increase.

A lack of knowledge can also determine why you’re not seeing any results. I mean if you look in the natural, think about wouldn’t you need to have all knowledge of Grade 1 before you move to Grade 2. Even if you do see some results even through a lack of knowledge, it probably wouldn’t be all great anyways. In other words if you didn’t learn everything you needed to learn in Grade 1, you probably wouldn’t be that effective in Grade 2. And this will lead to my third point about not being ready or mature enough to receive the results or enter the promise land to possess it.

I mean if you’re not ready, you’ll definitely won’t see any results because you need to also be ready to sow the seed, and it needs to be done by faith, so if you’re not ready, faith can’t really work on your behalf. I’ve noticed that the people who have been sowing the least amounts of seeds are the people who are always hesitant, not knowing if this will work or not, don’t worry if that’s you, you’re not alone, because sometimes I’m guilty of that too.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that you or I lack faith well maybe a little in some areas, but I always seem to be hesitant and sow fewer seeds in some of my businesses, part of it was because I lost money in the past on advertising and marketing, I mean I shouldn’t feel to bad because I’ve heard the most successful entrepreneurs and business people have lost and fail 90% of the time and they still manage to make over 1 million dollars every year.

I find that kind of shocking considering the fact that they might have run out of money to invest. Then I realized that it all makes perfect sense, they are willing to do anything in their power to create success, even if it meant failing several times and getting back up… Well I have some good news for myself and maybe you too, if you haven’t failed 90% of the time trying to sow seeds to find the best return or results but only let say you failed 15% of the time, you haven’t really lived.

And I have also realized I haven’t really lived because I’ve only failed around 50% to 60% of the time when I was sowing seeds into my businesses. Now that’s not to say that you should through away your money and fail all the time to claim bankruptcy… no… no… no… no… You need to walk in as much wisdom as you can when you sow these seeds and at the same time walk by faith so that you can receive the results and take calculated risks.

Because that 10% of the Success that you’ll achieve from sowing the seeds can be very big, so big that it can more than pay off the 90% of the times that you have failed. In a matter of fact most of the Successful business people have said the 10% of time when they succeed was what brought them the million of dollars. Now they can give and help others in a big way.

And these Successful business people have also said that the greatest and most joyful time was when they were in the process of actually becoming millionaires. So likewise we should have the same attitude when we are in the process of entering the promise land. Instead of complaining by saying the giants are too big, we should rejoice in the Lord and say “The bigger the giants, the bigger that houses and land that we can possess. Like the Book of James 1:2-4

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

So the word says when you fail even when sewing your seeds, you be joyful knowing that your faith is being tested to see if you will give up or not, but like those successful business people who failed 90% of the time, who didn’t give up until they made it, so you and I should have the same mentality. Even Jesus himself didn’t give up on the entire world when he was faced with an almost impossible task, the most difficult trial of suffering on the cross to take our sins away.

And one more point I want to make before I end this Article, a couple of hours ago I was laying down on my bed wondering wouldn’t it be easier if God gave us like 10 to 30 to 100 fold return out of every seed that we sow?

By the way 100 fold return means getting 100 times back from the amount we put in. Like I was thinking suppose I received my pay check for 2 weeks of work and it was $600 and let say that I’m so excited about giving because I know the Lord will bless me with a great return. So I give 50% of it to God, so $300 and let say that I return home and I go to my room and a green box appears on my dresser and God tells me to open it up and I open it and there sitting in the box $30,000 in large bills. So I was thinking wouldn’t it be cool if God did that? Well the Lord already knowing what I was thinking responded to me by saying “If I did it like that, too many people would only be focused on just sewing seeds and going to the green box in their room and collecting the money and that’s it, they would forget about me and only be thinking about the money in the green box” Wow then I thanked God for giving me that revelation.

Now I know why we have to work to sow seeds and possess the land even if it almost means life or death, so that whenever we fail we can always go to God and ask him for more wisdom, like in James 1:5

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

And after that I realized that it would be better if God gave me $30,000 worth of ideas that I can apply in a course of 2 months that will get me the $30,000 blessing, that way I can learn, have fun talk to God, talk to people, pray and continue to seek God with all my heart while I implement my ideas to receive my blessing.
