The Inheritance that God has for his People

According to the Bible or the word of God we need to realize that we have an inheritance… We are Blessed… We are Prosperous… And we’ll have joy in worshiping him… But with one condition, we have to be faithful to him and walk in his ways… Now lets look at Psalms 1, Psalms 2 and Psalms 8 to see what I’m talking about and later on we’ll check out Ephesians 1.

Okay, so in Psalms 1, it says..

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Noticed in verse 1 it says you’re blessed if don’t walk the opposite way the ungodly way. And that we must delight in his law and meditate on it as often as we can. This is very important and we must not neglect it, even if some days are hard to serve him, just do it. And just remember that the Lord knows the way of the righteous, in other words he delights and loves what the righteous and faithful people are doing, and he will bless you according to your faithfulness and righteousness.

Now lets look at Psalms 2...

1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

You noticed in verse 8 it says… “Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. So not only will God help you to defeat your enemies when you remain faithful to him, he will also bless you, can give the nations as your inheritance and much more… Now lets look at Psalms 8...

1 O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field,
8 The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Do you notice in verse 1 where David blesses the Lord with his praise. That’s what we as believers need to do everyday. Praise him for everything that he has done for us including sending his son to die for us, that way we’ll always have joy in worshiping him. Again it goes on to say how he will help us silence our enemies and our avengers. And then leave us an inheritance by giving us crowns of glory and honor and also give us dominion over every living things and every problems that we may have or face, whether they are physical, mental or spiritual.

Now lets look at Ephesians 1: 9-11

9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.

Again God is showing us and giving us the mysteries of his will because we honor him for our faithfulness and righteousness through his son Jesus Christ. So I hoped you’ve enjoyed this Article. So God Bless You and continue to seek the Lord with all your heart.
